Synopsis
On October 12, 1964, Mary Pinchot Meyer, the last mistress of JFK, was murdered on the towpath in Georgetown, and the hapless Raymond Crump was charged with the crime. But, famed Civil Rights attorney Dovey Roundtree was so convinced of his innocence, she offered to defend him for $1.
So, it was Dovey Roundtree at war with the U.S. Department of Justice, immortalized in this gripping courtroom drama.
Starring Joy White
Playing Dovey Roundtree is Joy White, who is known for The Dearly Departed (2017), Runners 2 (2018) and A Series of ONE (2015).
Filmed in Central Texas in late May 2024
With locations in Austin, Bastrop, and Kyle, Dovey's Promise is an all-Texas production with an expected release date in early 2025
