Synopsis
On October 12, 1964, Mary Pinchot Meyer, the last mistress of JFK, was murdered on the towpath in Georgetown, and the hapless Raymond Crump was charged with the crime. But, famed Civil Rights attorney Dovey Roundtree knew he was innocent, and she took on a bevy of government lawyers to prove it.
It was Dovey versus the U.S. Department of Justice. It wasn't fair, but they just had to take their chances.
Starring Joy White
Playing Dovey Roundtree is Joy White, who is known for The Dearly Departed (2017), Runners 2 (2018) and A Series of ONE (2015).
Filmed in Central Texas in late May 2024
With locations in Austin, Bastrop, and Kyle, Dovey's Promise is an all-Texas production with an expected release date in early 202 5
